Overview

To provide education and childcare services along with the teachers during the day to young children between the age of 2 to 6 years. The childcare placement can take place at facilities such as daycare centres, kindergartens, the lowest two classes (youngest kids) of primary schools and so on.

The parents of most of these young children are working in various minimally paid jobs and leave their children under the care of daycare centres and kindergartens during their working hours. The activities of the project are to take care of the children and also provide education to the children through activities such as; songs, rhymes, poems, stories, alphabet, numbers, drawing, colouring, games and so on.

This program will provide the participant with unique insights in childcare and childcare related services in Cape Verde while gaining hands-on childcare experience under the supervision of the local staff.

Objectives

Participants would get a unique opportunity to interact with the children in building a global community in the future generations of the stakeholders in addressing various challenges that are global in nature.

Impact

Volunteering is a great way to give back to the comunity and make a difference in the world. Depending on the type of volunteer experience you are interested in, your time can be spent improving educational resources and opportunities, providing medical services to underserved communities, or promoting environmental conservation and sustainable farming techniques.
